EXIT 109 MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRIES!
Exit 109 Middle School Student gatherings take place regularly on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. going until 8:30 p.m.
Our format is set up after a teaching rotation that we believe allows students to more thoroughly grasp the things we talk about. Our rotation usually follows the following pattern:
IN – These consist of a time of corporate worship usually followed by a fairly in-depth preaching style lesson. The night is rounded out with breaking up into age and gender specific D-Groups to apply the concepts learned.
OUT – The purpose of OUT is to take what was talked about the week prior and apply it directly to real life. Outs are our monthly service projects usually designed to foster environments where students have to step out of their comfort zones and participate in active implementation of what they learned.
AROUND – The premise behind AROUND is that the principal or topic extensively talked about in the IN and the experience of doing it in the OUT is all tied together and taught yet again in a different style using different kinds of presentations. AROUND’s are designed to be more of a teaching environment and tend to be light and more fun. They also have more a D-Group focus, where things are reflected upon as to what was learned and experienced.
UP – We end out every rotation with an UP. These are intentionally designed to be connection points to foster relationships–not just with each other, but also with their respective D-Group leaders. That’s why they are also called D-Group Connect nights. These nights are usually planned by the different D-Group leaders and designed to be fun fellowship nights.
